Thank you, Joao. I did have the yr as 1788. Don't know why I typed 1785... The Vicencia who is in the death & marriage records above is my husband's 3rd great grandmother. Somehow when I was trying to read the records late last nite, I thought I saw Madalena somewhere in the record. Sure can't see it now!! I checked the Santa Luzia baptisms for Vicencia and couldn't find her. I probably missed her & will check again.
Thanks again for your help, Fawn Silva On Mon, Jul 1, 2013 at 12:59 PM, João Ventura <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, Fawn > > I think the year is 1788, the wife's name is Rosa Maria residents of "Vale > Levante" the Parish is of course, the Santa Maria Madalena in Pico, the > godfather's name seems to be José Inácio Oliveira of the village of Faial. > > Note that "Vale Levante", means eastern valley, so it doesn't have to be a > specific place existing today. > > Also, I'm not sure this is the same Vicencia Rosa..
