Cheri, Thanks for writing this down, I always have to think about it when I see the numbers with the bro! Sometimes you will see Xbro for December also so it’s nice to write that one in to the vocabulary of the records!

The date says vinte e dois de 7bro mil setecentos e dez which is the 22 of Sept 1710 I think those types of abbreviations go like this (someone correct me if I'm wrong as I don't have access to my notebook to double check myself). 7bro = Sept 8bro = Oct 9bro = Nov 10bro = Dec I believe they are Latin roots...Sept (septagon - 7 sided) = 7; Oct (octagon - 8 sided) = 8; Non (nonagon - 9 sided) = 9 and Dec (decagon - 10 sided) = 10. (And for the propeller heads in my reading audience who remember something about that from school, a dodecagon is 12 sided.
