Is this Joao de Sousa Travassos and Maria Benevides the same person as your mentioned Joao de Sousa Travassos and Maria Nunes? The below descendent report is the family of what I call my elusive Maria Cristo. Maria Cristo is my husband's paternal grandmother and I am still in search of a document that will verify that she belongs to this family. Her marriage, immigration, census and death records indicate that this her family; at the very least she and her siblings for whom I have records, THOUGHT she had these parents and the siblings for whom I have baptismal records. Hi Eliseu,
I descend from Francisco Rodrigues de Viveiros and Maria Cabral. They were parents of Teresa de Viveiros. Manuel de Sousa Travassos, born in Matriz RG on 15 aug 1700, was the son of João de Sousa Travassos and Maria Nunes. All I know is that Francisco Rodrigues de Viveiros and Maria Cabral are from Porto Formoso, but couldn´t find their marriage yet.
