The only test we've run is Family finder, does that test give you sequence
numbers and letters? I've not been able to find that. So I have no idea
what his dna numbers are.

Group,

Actually, the Wikipedia page on Moazbites indicates they are 0% Y-DNA
haplogroup J2, so... I am definitely wrong in my suggestion. The Population
Finder tool is very generic, as has been said, and is due for an update. I
can't make much of my designations, which is fine. I feel the best part of
Family Finder is connecting with semi-recent cousins and building our trees
together.

Hi Eileen,

My population finder shows Iranian, Jewish, Mozabite, Palestinian, Bedouin,
Bedouin South, Druze (about 8%). I have long suspected this because my
Grandmother was Haplogroup L2. I have confirmed on paper one ancestor that
was a slave as well but not from my grandmothers line but in a line where I
did not suspect to find it. I need to continue tracing my grandmothers line
further but have been waiting for the records to be put on line.

This dna testing is very interesting! My husband shows Mozabite genetic
markers. North African dessert people. We assume it entered his line during
the Moorish conquest of the Iberian Peninsula, but are open to other ideas.

Our children think this has a really high 'cool' factor, haha.

We are wondering how common this is in the group, I'd guess pretty high?
