Dear Shirley: Thanks. Now I know what that word means. Yay! It gives clues that maybe they applied for a passport around that time. I'm going to search to see if he traveled to America.
Regarding the Lima's: as you know, you gave me the first breakthrough with the Lima brothers that went off to the Goldfields of Australia in 1952. Here is the last male I found in the microfilm: FRANCISCO JOSE X. Engracia Roza (Santa Maria island) Father of Francisco Jose (b about 1783) X Marianna Joaquina b 1778 (Santa Maria) Father of. Antonio Jose de Lima. B 1803 X Margarida Jacintha Flora (Antonio was from Sao Miguel so the father moved to Sao Miguel at some point. Father of many: including Jacintho Jose de Lima and Jose Jacintho de Lima (the brothers who went to Australia. ) Maybe we will connect. Where are your De Lima's from. Did they settle in the Northeast Boston area? Good to hear from you.
