Tony S,

I learned it was called "continential" Portuguese.

I'm sure everyone has their favorite. I bought cassette tapes back in the
day that came with a course book. It was the Living Language series.

Google: living language continental portuguese
Amazon.com sells it still on cassette or CD.

Others will tell you what they use.
