My great-grandfather's brother went to Brazil & was a Professor at a University there. His name was Francisco Pacheco Horta or Francisco Horta Pacheco. He was born around 1872 on Sao Miguel, probably the Ponta Delgada area but I haven't found him yet. That is all I know about him. I believe he was the eldest son of Francisco Jose Pacheco & Maria Carolina Horta. They were married in Sao Jose, Ponta Delgada on April 24, 1871.
