Since I don't research Faial, I used the Azores GenWeb to figure out the church: http://goo.gl/XNZFh3 9th line: -tives (continuation of natives) of this freguesia of N. S.ra da Luz (Nossa Senhora da Luz), place of ____ of Flamengos. Someone else can get that work. The "of this freguesia," is written as "deste freguesia." "deste" is like our contraction. Means "of the." Date: 18 or 28 Feb 1752. The record before is the 14, so not much help there.
