I am researching the following families: José da Costa (AKA Joseph Costa and eventually after the 1900 census as Joe Costa Pimental arrived in Hawai'i in 1861 (1900 census) or 1862 (1910 census)
He married (in 1884)Innocencia Pereira who was born on 12 Feb 1869 and arrived in Hawai'i on the Abergeldie in 1883 with her father José Pereira (listed as Perreira on the passport list from Ponta Delgada) and mother Jacintha and sisters. Her parents were José Pereira de Botelho and Jacintha da Conceição. She was the paternal granddaughter of Luiz Pereira (born 28 Dec 1801) and Catherina Izabel, and the maternal granddaughter of João Francisco da Motta and Anne Jacintha. All of this family is from São Roque de Rosto do Cão, Ponta Delgada, São Miguel. I am having problems finding the batismo of José Pereira around 1825-29 as well as the marriage record for him and Jacintha da Conceição. Also, I can't find anything on Innocencia's husband José da Costa as of now. I do hve a lot of the records going back to Innocencia's great-grandparents so far. Any help would be appreciated.
