Steve thanks for posting this information.  I  read some of the book online 
and you are correct, it is tedious. Lol.  As with many other little books 
out there on the Azores its is also has  historical inaccuracies that many 
people accept as fact..  But Walker does say that it  is devoid of any 
scientific or literary merit, so I guess its to be expected.  Thank you for 
sharing
