Hello Raymond, I think I can help you. Antonio and Julia Castro's son, Antone Castro Jr, married my great aunt, Gloria Pereira, her parents were Francisco Tavares Pereira and Roza Faria da Silva. I believe Antonio and Julia were from the Madeira Islands and arrived in Hawaii aboard the SS City of Paris in June 1884.....they married in Madeira in 1880.
Let me give you some names and see if any sound familiar. here are a few of Antone and Gloria's children...Francisco Castro married Augusta Verece, Gulinda Castro married John Gregory, Cecilia Castro married Edmund Kekuewa Bright.. I'm from the lineage of August Tavares Pereira (Gloria's brother) a son of Francisco and Roza, who emigrated from Hawaii to California in 1909. email me and we can exchange some information.
