Hello, Does anyone have information on Manuel d'Avila de Bettencourt, church treasurer for at least these years 1843, 1856, 1857 & 1860?
I'm seeing him as the "padrinho" (godfather) for a few children that were baptized without a father. Was he the father of the out of wedlock children or because he held a high position within the town?
