There are three members on the PHCS board of directors who also subscribe to this list.
The first is the PHCS president, Mary Ann Marshall. When you visit the above link, you see her picture.
The other is my father, Lionel Rocha Holmes. And also myself.
Before I moved to Arizona for 7 years, I had been writing a series of articles about genealogy and now that I am back in Sacramento, I have resumed that. The next issue of the PHCS newsletter which is called O Progresso, is about to be finished and part two of my article called We're All Cousins will be in it. Part one in the March issue was about "consanguiniidade" or in English, consanguinity. Part two in this next issue is about "afinidade" or affinity. It will give a researcher some ideas how to use this to your advantage and also let you know what it means, if you don't already know.
So I mention all this in case there are any on the list who might like to become a member and receive the newsletter. If so, you will see a link to membership on the website. Members don't have to live in the Sacramento area. They are all over the USA and I believe some in other countries, but not sure.
And if you live in the Sacramento region, there are activities you might also enjoy with this group which often holds them at the St. Elizabeth church in downtown Sacramento.
