Pam,
When I first researched, I worked primarily in Maia.  For the most part 
these people settle in Maia and stayed there.  The people of Achada are 
different.  Right from the start I have ancestors from different villages.  
My great great grandmother, Anna Jacinta de Mello was from Achada, but my 
gr gr grandfather, Jacintho Pacheco was from Fenais da Vera Cruz (Ajuda).  
I still haven't located their marriage nor the baptismal of their first 
son, Antonio Pacheco.  Though, it's not a roadblock.  I've been able to go 
well beyond both of them.  Still, I want those two records (the marriage 
and baptismal).  My tree feels incomplete without them.
