E, Another option I use on my MAC is to "Grab" the image. You can "grab" the entire page, or just the section appearing on the computer's screen, or a smaller portion of that window (such as a single image or line fragment) by surrounding the image with a rectangle. Once you've grabbed what you want, then you can "save" it in any desired format, e.g. JPEG.
I found out about using GRAB from a colleague who used it on his PC. I'm just not sure if the procedural steps are identical. But, when he first showed me what GRAB could do, I saw that it was easy. Compare it to your other choices and find what works best for what you're trying to accomplish.
