Barbara, There may also be a Jewish cemetery in Ponta Delgada. I'm sure if you do a google search you will find lots of info. My mother's doctor in Ponta Delgada (1950's and early 1960's) was Jewish, I don't know that much about him but his name was Dr Freidman and my mother spoke very well of him. From what I remember, he had escaped the Germans in WWII and came to the Azores. Enjoy your trip!
