If you have a kit # you can send it to me (privately, if you wish) to see
if I can run tests on it.  Perhaps it really didn't get stored properly.
 Or, perhaps there was an issue with the download.

I've uploaded quite a few records to GEDMatch and they've all been stored
and analyzed just fine.  The longest I had to wait for any of them to be
tokenized was maybe about 3 weeks and that would be during one of their
server outage periods.  All the ones I've uploaded have been from Ancestry.
 I've never tried a FTDNA record but certainly there are many there
including some that show up as matches for me just as they show up as
matches on the FTDNA website.
