I was so excited when the Maia records came online. I would be able to fill in some holes in my tree. One of them being finding the marriage record for Antonio da Rocha and Rosa da Estrella Boteilho. I wasn't sure what time period to look in as I had some scattered marriage records and births for their children.
A search through Maia 1775-1795 didn't turn up anything. I decided to go back to the baptismals to see if I missed something. It was when I found their son Francisco that I realized Rosa was not born in Maia. Only Antonio was. She was born in Estrella. At any rate, about five minutes of searching in Estrella I found the record: Image 107, m. 26 May 1777, Estrella Antonio da Rocha, son of Manoel da Rocha and Maria Pacheca of Maia Rosa da Estrella, dau of Joze Beoteilho and Barbara Fernandes of Estrella I didn't have either of their parents so now I can fill in those blanks. I need to go back to the baptismal records as I don't have the birth info. on my ancestor, Manoel Boteilho da Rocha, and his siblings.
