My results indicate that my primary source of DNA is closest to Spain closely followed by Portugal .
Then I look at the results when two populations are used I look at the number under Distance, I know that my actual ancestry is Portuguese the calculator gives me a score of 4.91 the closest to the number 0 the closer the match. There are only two secondary populations that are close to my actual ancestry AT(Austrian) somewhat similar to Flemish and AJ(Ashkenazi Jews) very similar to Sephardic Jews. Sephardic Jews and Flemings contributed to the DNA of Azoreans so I consider those results significant. When I look at my mixed mode results when two populations are used I consider the results for numbers #8 and #19 very significant because it includes populations close to groups that have contributed to the DNA of Azoreans. The score for #8 is 3.74 and for #19 3.88 That is a closer match to my particular blend of DNA than Spain or Portugal. I consider that a clue to my possible ancestry. That is how I personally use this tool.
