Hi Geraldo,

Yes I was really happy to find out where all my relatives went to in Brazil
I knew that many had immigrated there and my matches are in the regions
where I knew there was a concentration of immigration from the Azores. The
point I was trying to make is there is a piece missing yet, I have gained
a huge amount of information with my Azorean matches, I have been able to
confirm the historical records of the settlement in Brazil with my matches
.But I have only one family finder match in Continental Portugal but she
has an ancestor born in Castelo Branco Faial in 1700 other wise nothing
else connecting to Continental Portugal my Gedmatch Calculator results show
that I share more DNA with Galicians than the Portuguese population used
for reference. I also match about a dozen of people in Mexico and that
immigration occurred in the 1500's to early 1600's therefore if more tested
I believe I would have matches with Continental Portugal I suspect it is
just a matter of time and patience is required.

I am grateful for what I have been able to find out so far but the source
population where most of our ancestors came from doesn't appear to test
very much yet, I was venting a little primarily because we will learn a
huge amount when those matches finally start coming in.

Antonio
