I found Joao Silveira born 16 April 1820, Piedade, Lajes do Pico; died 1 March 1899 same freguesia . Age at death 78, He was married on 3 July 1845 to Maria Jacinta. She was born 1820 and died 1899. They had a total of 8 children: 5 boys and 3 girls. MATIAS was second to the youngest, born 22 April 1858.
