Thank you all for the explanation of the two words! This makes perfect sense
as my father continued on with the family tradition of being a farmer although,
he raised more than wheat. 😊

George, a special ‘thank you’ to you for translating the entire document for
me. I will now go back and make corrections to my translation and study my
mistakes!

Again, thank you all, Sam in Maz

Bill, I think you may be right. My Portuguese dictionary has seareiro and it
says a tiller, small farmer. So if that is correct, both father and son are
farmers.

The writing seems clear as "siareiro" which I could not find in my dictionary,
but I did see the word on a google search, mostly on Spanish language links.
My wife suggested in my be an alternate spelling of seareiro which is a
harvester. The other word after the paternal grandfather is tambem (also).

Hi everyone; I need help translating two words in this one. I think Cheri
gave me the meaning a couple of years ago but; I haven’t come across it since
and I haven’t been able to find the meaning in my notes. You can find the
document here:

http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMA-VP-SAOPEDRO-B-1828-1845/SMA-VP-SAOPEDRO-B-1828-1845_item1/P92.html

It is the baptism of Jacinta on the top right. The words I can’t figure out
are the word after the father’s name and the two words after the paternal
grandfather’s name. I suspect it has something to do with being a ‘sea man’
but; I could be completely off base with that idea. Any help is much
appreciated. Below is what I have translated, if anyone would like to make
corrections on my translation, any and all are much appreciated. Thank you
all, Sam in Maz
