Thanks Margaret & Eliseu. I do have him listed in my tree as Manoel Pacheco de Medeiros, son of Manoel Luis Pacheco & Barbara de Medeiros. Looking at the record and seeing mother and son's surnames I can see that Quiteria's surname is very similar (like I said the handwriting is terrible). On his childrens and grandchildrens baptismo records he is listed as Manouel Pacheco, while she is listed as Quiteria de Medeiros/Moniz. As for Teresa/Josefa, I went with what I thought I saw (again I'll blame it on the hadwriting) and the surname is similar. Just one question, where do you see the name Teresa? So I will know what to look for in other records this person writes. Paul G.
