My other suggestion is to collect similar names in the right time frame, and see if an error has been by the priests. It happens. Francisco Duarte is good start and don't forget to look at variations, such as Cheri just did. Do this before going all over the place. What do your baptismal records say about Manuel Jacinto and Margarida Medeiros?
