Hello, I'm researching two passengers that arrived in Hawaii, 1895, on the SS Braunfels. Their names are Arceirio Pereira Alves and Joao Pereira Alves. The Hawaii Archives index lists them as being from Ponta Delgada, but I haven't found them on the passport list...I even checked Madeira Island. I also search The Immigrant Ancestry website (BYU), but still no luck. I know the ship departed from Germany, then to Oport, Portugal. I can only reason that they may have emigrated from mainland Portugal. Arceirio married Isabel Medeiros in Hawaii, approx 1900. If anyone has any information on these two individuals, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
