Aaron, we have a copy of the passenger list for the Braunfels with the two individuals you are looking for...when a ship entered the Honolulu Harbor, the ship's captain had to present a list of his passengers to the harbor master. Arcenio and Joao Pereira Alves are listed as being from Porto Delgada. Arcenio married Isabel about 1898. they had 11 children. Arcenio died 15 September 1920 in Piihonua, South Hilo, Hawaii. we can get copies of birth cert for their children born after 1 July 1909 and a copy of Arcenio's death cert. you can email your mailing address to [email protected]. this is our email address for the Portuguese Genealogical and Historical Society of Hawaii.
