Hi Sean, here's what I read for the dates:
"... nasceu em o dia dous de Agosto do anno de mil oito centos e nove e foi batisada em o dia quinze dad.o mes..." I believe it says that Jose and Ignacia Ma. were the child's padrinhos. Witnesses are also mentioned, but I don't see grandparents.
