Hi Aaron, Yes, that's more or less what I'm seeing. My brain takes turns between "Brasanrigues" and "Gaspar r[odr]igues"
I think you're correct: the descending letter toward the end isn't a "g" but a "q". It looks like the "q" in "Pacheqo" (four lines above) and not the "g" three lines below where he's written out the actual name "Gaspar Rodrigues". That descending letter toward the beginning is most likely an "s"-- though his "p's" are very variable. Argh. "bra sam riques"? Not likely! [head banging on table] Thanks so much.
