Maria, I found the email from a couple of years ago. You are also a Manuel Furtado and Marianna da Trindade descendant.
If you Shirley and I can determine that our ONLY common ancestor between the 3 of us is Manuel and Mariana, then that spot on Chromosome 4 IS something (see attached). I ran this from my dad's end instead of yours. Earlier I said Shirley had 24 cMs. She does, but it's two (or more) adjacent blocks between just the two of you. When I run it from my dad's end, part of the block falls off, so it's not in common with all 3 of us. All of us end at 13708669 on chr. 4. Now to figure out which ancestor. If anyone else on this list descends from Manuel Furtado (b. c. 1740s-1750s in Sao Miguel Arcanjo church of Vila Franca; d. 1813 in VF) and Mariana da Trindade (b. c. 1750s in Sao Pedro church of Vila Franca; d. 1823 Ribeira Quente), we really need to talk!
