Hi Niki,

Welcome to the group.

There's a book on the history of the UPPEC:

Joanne Vaz Camara (2001) Centennial album and history of the Conselho
Supremo da União Portuguesa Protectora do Estado da California : 100 years
of union & protection 1901-2001.
Hayward, Calif. Supreme council, U.P.P.E.C.

Here's a link to the libraries that have it:

https://www.worldcat.org/title/centennial-album-and-history-of-the-conselho-supremo-da-uniao-portuguesa-protectora-do-estado-da-california-100-years-of-union-protection-1901-2001/oclc/49797598&referer=brief_results

I haven't seen the book myself, but maybe it has information on the SLO
chapter and the names of it's founding members.

Perhaps someone in the group will recognize the names of relatives from
your list and be able to provide more info about them, but in case not,
what resources have you checked? For info on the Azores and immigration to
the US, the CCA records, Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org, and the Ellis
Island records are the first things that come to my mind, but perhaps
you've already checked those? Knowing what you've looked at will help us
to help you more effectively.

best wishes,

Linda
