Actually, this is not that unusual. If your ancestor is a female "Dona", she is often recorded with only her first name. It is somewhat a mystery only because you want to find her parents names. She may never have used a surname, only a search will tell. But the good news is, these are noble lines, so they should be somewhere in a book.
