Erica, Looks to me like you did find it. I was probably too focused on finding "Maria de Souza" so missed Maria de Bellem. I think JR is correct that the marriage never took place because this looks like it says "sol.a (single?) desposada com Nicolau de Souza. Desposada also means betrothed. Also, as JR pointed out, it appears Nicolau was previously widowed by an Izabel.
Looking at all of this it seems curious that his later marriage shows him as widower of Maria.
