(Cross posted to Azores, Madeira, IslandRoutes lists) When calling the Plaza Hotel in Salt Lake City (800) 366-3684 and booking a room with the Azores Genealogy block of rooms, you may need to spell out a-z-o-r-e-s for the person at the front desk (depending on who you get). The may be spelling it as "asores" or "asoars" for all we know. They might think you have a sore arm or something!
If that doesn't work, you have 2 choices: 1) Go ahead and book a room anyways and send me an email. I will have you put into the block and your room rate adjusted. 2) Ask to be transferred to the sales manager, Rich Williams and he'll call you back and book it for you. NOTE: The $87 a night (USD plus taxes) is for a standard room. That room faces the capitol and the mountains. The bathroom sink is inside the bathroom. You can upgrade to a deluxe room (for $97 a night, I believe). Those rooms face the city and have the sink outside of the bathroom.
