I have been going through Cedros death records in the late 1600s and early
1700s and almost all of the records have a note in the margin under the name
of the deceased. Most are "Rua" with nothing else, which is "street." I also
find "vale verde" which I think is "green valley" and "ribeira funda" which
may be "deep river." There are others, but I can't read or translate most of
them. Anyone have any idea what these are?
