Christian, If I may; Pastor is the name, Pastorinho is the diminuitive of Pastor. It can be used interchangeably. To be certain which might be the original name, you will have to look up his birth record.
Pastor as first name is not indicative of the office of herding sheep. And it definitely has nothing to do with Catholics on the island. It is an old first name used in the latin countries, in France is common to see Pasteur. Hope this helps.
