The words you want is "ja defuncto" for the male or "ja defuncta" for the female or "ja defunctos" if both are dead and that would listed after the mom's name. It mentioned his parents about 4 times and I did not see any mention of any deceased parent. So either the parents were alive or it just wasn't mentioned in these documents.
