I don't really know either but just feel that Cheri is right with it being Lent. I feel like even I learned that in Catholic school when I was young.... People waited until after Easter. My grandma used to also say that most did not marry in August because that was the month of "sorrows". This just came to me and wonder if anyone else heard of this. My grandparents did get married in August:)
