Hi Fred, You have the name, dates (or some narrow ranges) and a place. Go to Tombo.pt (Tombo.pt/en if you need to navigate in English) to view the records. In the left column, type in: Lagoa. When the results appear, scroll down to the church of Nossa Senhora do Rosario.
Once you find your Marias or your Joao or Jose, they may have margin notes that you may find helpful. Good luck!
