Hi Mary B,

At the time period you are researching (turn of the 20th century), your
ancestor would have been Escolastica de Jesus married to Seraphim Cordeiro.
If you think they immigrated about 1902 from Sao Miguel island, you'd want
to look at the "passaportes" of Ponta Delgada (the port on the island of
Sao Miguel). With the names of Seraphim and Escolastica, they shouldn't be
too hard to find.

You can find the passaportes here: http://tombo.pt/en/d/acores Scroll down
to Ponta Delgada and look for 1902. It's split between two files.

When you find them, copy the URL and paste it in an email to the group and
someone will help you with the headings.
Good luck, Cheri Mello
