Hi Chase, Maybe you missed my response because this thread is kinda wandering off from its original topic.
GedMatch is a third party tool. It is NOT a DNA testing company. It accepts results from the major DNA testing companies though. They have some pretty advanced tools there. Get your stuff from AncestryDNA and transfer to Family Tree DNA (FTDNA). These are testing companies. After you see your results there, you can decide if you want to upgrade to FTDNA's chip for $59. You can utilize their tools. Then you can decide if you want more tools. If the stuff on FTDNA isn't enough for you and you don't mind your DNA being out there, put it on GedMatch. But for now, do one thing at a time. There's a bunch of stuff to do with the transfer. Here it is again in case you missed it. ' Download your raw data from AncestryDNA. Make an FTDNA Autosomal Transfer account here: https://www.familytreedna.com/autosomal-transfer Upload your raw data from AncestryDNA. If you want the tools and ethnicity estimate, it's $19. If you want to be tested on FTDNA's platform, it's $59.
