Depending on the timeline we see different wording.

Parish - paroquia
Civil Parish - freguesia
Parishioners - paroquianos (plural) 
Clients - fregueses (plural) when singular (he) fregues (she) freguesa.

To note why they write my client is because I may be of that Parish but I may 
frequent another church and not be a client where I live for whatever reason.  

Had he used punctuation, it would have been visible.
