Hi Joy, Glad you found something. What was your island for the baptism of your Joao? The district archive of Angra covers all 9 of the Azores islands.
Also, there's no place called "Lagoas" on Pico. There's no place called "Lagoas" at all in the Azores. There's a Lagoa, but that's over on the island of Sao Miguel. The only place with an "L" on Pico is Lajes. Hope that is what you meant.
