There is what you might call a neighborhood in Lajes on Pico called Almagreira. It is not a separate parish. A couple of other neighborhoods in Lajes are Rua Nova and Rua do Meio. At least sometimes these neighborhoods show up on birth records. Perhaps someone else knows the Portuguese name for a neighborhood. So I'd look in Lajes records to see if you can find them. I have relatives from all 3 of these neighborhoods and 3 of my grandparents also died in Kings County.
