It is difficult to know which island interests you. There is an Almagreira (Lajes do Pico), but it is not on Santa Maria island. It is a locality on the north side of Lajes do Pico on the island of Pico. Being part of the Lajes do Pico freguesia, the parish should be Santissima Trinidade.
There is also a freguesia on Santa Maria island called Almagreira with the parish Nossa Senhora de Bom Despacho. It has only been its own freguesia since about 1903 so CCA only has records for a few years. Prior to 1903 it was part of Nossa Senhora de Assunç ão in Vila do Porto, Santa Maria. CITCEM that Cheri referred to cannot help with Santa Maria island, but I did find some possible leads in Lajes do Pico. These can't be confirmed until CCA comes up. A Manuel Rosa, born 22 March 1832 Lajes do Pico and died 6 March 1904 also in Lajes was married to a Maria Jacinta (no surname or parents names given) on 9 Jun 1859. They had a daughter named Laureana in 1865. An Isabel Teresa, born 16 November 1858, daughter of Manuel Brum Silveira Soares married a Manuel Rosa Câtelo.
