This Manuel Carreiro i have has been traced from Sao Miguel to Australia aboard the ship called the 'Water Lily' . This ship left the Azores and went straight to Australia . Manuel Carreiro that i have travelled on that ship under that name. In Australia he used The surname Muniz and Carreiro , on his marriage certificate his name is written Muniz then crossed out and written as Carreiro. He died in Creswick Victoria and is buried there , D 1882 aged 55yrs. The birth date that you have is different to this Manuel Carreiro but i thought i should give you this information just incase it might be connected to the family member you are looking for.
