(Cross posted to Azores, Madeira, Island Routes lists) Blaine Bettinger is a genetic genealogist. He lectures on DNA and is the author of "The Family Tree Guide to DNA Testing and Genetic Genealogy." (NOTE: Published by Family Tree Magazine, which has nothing to do with Family Tree DNA or Family Tree Maker. They are all separate companies. Many genealogy businesses use the words "family tree" because it's easier to spell than genealogy). Anyways, Blaine is a very good speaker and his book is wonderful. He's found a skeleton in his closet (his mom had a child out of wedlock before marrying Mr. Bettinger), and he understands our endogamy. He does a lot to educate genealogists on DNA.
