Get a genealogy program for your computer. Paper is too archaic and cumbersome. Some good programs (that live on your computer) are Legacy Family Tree (www.legacyfamilytree.com) - their Standard Edition is free and RootsMagic (www.rootsmagic.com) - their Essentials is free. You can get the full program for around $30 USD. Don't worry if online is your thing. You can sync Family Tree Maker with Ancestry and either Legacy or RootsMagic syncs with My Heritage.com. Or you can just Gedcom it over. But the online tree display companies really don't give all the features that a serious genealogist needs.
