Cheri, Mickey had wrong info. Manuel Antonio Fonte was born in Pico, Azores. This is on his own Naturalization record. He came to US July 31, 1905 on Canopic under the name Manuel Antonio Simas thru Sao Miguel. Should be easy to find on Passportes...i have difficulty reading these so if someone else can help him would be appreciated I am sure. This might say exactly where in Pico he came from?? PS: Manuel was married twice...Amelia and Maria.
