Hi Walter,
When starting out, I was guided to using the Bef/Aft/Abt system to have the most concrete info/reference in the Birth/Marriage/Death date blocks. Born: *Place line/block* Bef 25 Mar 1678 put baptismal location Abt 1678 Calc fm age at death/in will/etc Aft 1678 Not of age Fa/xxx will Death Bef 3 Feb 1700 bur xxx (location from burial) Aft Feb 1700 alive in Fa xxxx will Bef Feb 1700 dec’d at dau/son xxx marriage Regards, Marsha Stringer [email protected] *From:* [email protected] <[email protected]> *On Behalf Of *Walter Teixeira *Sent:* Friday, March 8, 2019 8:51 PM *To:* [email protected] *Subject:* [AZORES-Genealogy] Birth information Cheri, I know you must have this information at the tip of your tongue and it would take me a lot longer to try and find it in one of your helping aids. During the time period where the birth date is not given in the baptism record and you only have the baptism date, what do most people do about the birth date? Example: Baptism Date: 25 March 1678 Birth Date: about 25 March 1678 or about March 1678 Thanks, Walt -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Azores Genealogy" group.
