Thank you. I had to know if it was possible for a woman to use the name Maria Santa and Maria Jeronima. I was afraid I had missed finding some records or the records were simply missing. I’ve only found 1 Maria born to these parents *João de Sousa Machado and his wife Susana Maria*) 19 April 1789. I’ve checked the years around the Dispensations (*1808*) and find no marriage for *Maria Santa and Manuel Silveira de Quadros.* The marriage for* Maria Jeronima and* *Manuel Silveira de Quadros *is 17 Sep *1809. *(Casamentos 1798-1826.44).
